The ASCoT Story…
In 1992, a close-knit group of friends, united by a shared passion for tennis, set out to create a distinctive and private tennis club tournament. Their vision was to bring together fellow enthusiasts from around the world, offering a chance to step away from demanding careers and fully immerse themselves in the sport, while deepening friendships and forming meaningful connections.
The 1992 inaugural tournament took place in Louisenlund, a private boarding school on the shores of the Baltic Sea in northern Germany, a beautiful site that embodies both tradition and camaraderie. As the community grew, the tournament evolved, changing places several times, and ultimately relocated to the prestigious Monte-Carlo Country Club in the Principality of Monaco.
What began as an annual men’s tennis doubles tournament, then evolved into both Men’s and Women’s Tournaments, enabling both ambitious male and female talents from various industries and backgrounds to connect through their common interests, ambitious goals, various vocations and of course, a shared appreciation of tennis.
2026 marks a significant milestone, celebrating the tournament’s 30th edition since the inaugural event in 1992.
Since establishing its home there, ASCoT 1992 has been honoured to receive the annual High Patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco, a recognition that reflects the tournament’s legacy and continued distinction.
